To empower employees, boat owners and marine companies to choose better rates, less administration & provide a service to fit their business requirements & lifestyle.
BRIEF COMPANY HISTORY
A local New Zealand boy Mike Vitali proudly incorporated BoatBoys limited in 2009. Mikes previous work history was in marine fairing and painting, he served his time in various Boat yards in the Auckland region in the early stages of his career. Mike operated a very successful business Profair Marine ltd in & around Auckland, New Zealand for a period of seven years. During this period the company completed many yachts with a large team of skilled fairers and painters; including some of New Zealand’s most prestigious super yachts, America’s Cup racing yachts and classic antique yachts to name a few.
Mike is a husband, father, business owner and eldest son of six children, born and raised on the North Shore playing rugby, surfing, and playing guitar for local bands. His metal polisher father and mid-wife mother taught him his core ethics of hard work, honesty and integrity. Knowing the true reality of what families and the general hard-working tradesperson was up against for paying bills and getting ahead, he came up with a unique concept for promoting hard-working marine trades people. He understands companies and everyday business owners’ desire to keep costs low whilst still providing a competitive quality service. The BoatBoys concept provided everyone involved in the marine industry and marine community with the chance to unite in the common goal of all resulting in a win-win situation.
MIKE SAYS; “For too long boat owners and marine companies have been charged high rates and tradespeople underpaid due to the high costs associated with employment. Times have changed. We are giving the power back to the marine community. They now can choose how they run their work life and business. The power is theirs to make the choice once again.”
BOATBOYS VISION
- Build integrity, honesty and excellent work ethic into our grass-roots boat builders.
- Teach self-promotion and reliability in the hope that one day our BoatBoys will build on our excellent marine industry including our already famous export sector.

BOATBOYS CORE VALUES
Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you: BoatBoys promote supporting one another at all times within our company both internally and externally. An all round contribution to give the expected high quality service that people have come to expect from the New Zealand marine industry and New Zealander’s in general. Striving to value each other as individuals and equals, regardless of race, creed, skill level or experience.
Good old-fashioned handshake business: We aim to build on the handshake business agreement which New Zealand business was founded on. The goal being to bring back the day when people looked each other eye to eye and agreed - and business was done. Simple! Yes is Yes and No is No. Integrity, honesty & transparency.
Positive attitudes & passionate people: No backstabbing is the backbone to a successful person. We don’t tolerate putting other people down for selfish gain. As most kiwi mothers have taught their children “If you don’t have anything nice to say. Don’t say it at all!”
World-class standards: New Zealand is a world-class country. We aim for world-class standards every day so other nations can learn from our example. Look at the short history of New Zealand and you will see achievement after achievement gained by the very attitude that is already in all New Zealanders. Nothing but the best at all times!
